Behind the Bellie Brand

Meet the Maker Behind Your New Favourite Tubie Pads - Spoiler Alert: Yes We're really that Confident We'll Win Your Heart!

Welcome to LoulaBellie , a small but vibrant Business in the Heart of the Uk , I'm Ellie , the founder and creator behind the scenes , but in less professional terms I’m the heart and soul behind this little corner of handmade Tubie Accessories.

Living with a chronic illness has added layers of depth to my perspective and it's from this place of understanding that LoulaBellie was born – a space where functionality meets creativity.

At 23 years old, I call a cozy rural village nestled in the Lincolnshire countryside home, where I share my life with my fiancé and our adorable Cockapoo puppy, Tiggie. Living in the UK with my wonderful fiancé and our furry sidekick, life's an adventure, and it's my pleasure to share a bit of my story with you.

My journey has been shaped by the challenges of multiple chronic illnesses, leading me to rely on feeding tubes, catheters, and central lines for the past 7 years.

Despite the hurdles and the considerable time spent in hospitals and in the confines of my house managing my health, I've discovered a silver lining – my passion for sewing.

In between medical routines, I've found joy and purpose in turning my ideas into tangible, helpful products. As someone navigating the twists and turns of chronic illness, I understand the importance of finding joy in the little things – like the accessories that help bring colour and personalisation to our medical devices ,so here at LoulaBellie Each item is crafted with care and consideration.

In the heart of our home, every piece is meticulously crafted, drawing inspiration from my own journey and the shared experiences of fellow tubies in our lovely  chronic illness community.  From cozy feeding tube pads to stylish accessories, every creation is a blend of functionality and flair , with the hope of making a positive impact on the lives of others facing similar challenges.

When I'm not immersed in crafting, you can find me sipping on a cup of Coffee with my wonderful Mum or Nanny or finding solace in the company of my fiancé and enjoying the boundless joy of our loving pup Tiggie. They are my pillars of support and the driving force behind the passion that infuses every stitch and design.

Thank you for being part of this adventure. I hope my handcrafted accessories bring a sprinkle of joy to your journey. Let's navigate this road together with style, strength, and a whole lot of love.

My Tubie Milestones

Let's rewind the clock to 2017 when I embarked on a significant chapter of my Tubie journey – the placement of my first NJ and NG tubes. Fast forward to 2021, and a new milestone marked the introduction of a MIC balloon Dangler tube, transitioning into the realm of GJ feeding tubes.
Soon after, the landscape evolved with the introduction of a Hickman line, a lifeline for receiving TPN, IV fluids, and IV medications at home.
The shift to a Low Profile GJ button device, specifically the GJ Mic-key Button, brought a new level of convenience to my Tubie life. Alongside, I've explored the realm of AMT G-jet buttons, adding diverse experiences to my journey.
late 2022- early 2023 A notable transformation unfolded – a shift from reliance on TPN to a 24/7 feeding regimen directly into my jejunum.
One consistent thread in my Tubie life is the routine feeding tube changes under interventional radiology every three months. It's a procedure that's become part of my routine, and I'm always eager to share my insights and experiences with those navigating a similar path.
So here's to the milestones, the transitions, and the ever-evolving tapestry of our complex and everchanging Tubie journeys.
If you're curious, have questions, or simply want to connect over shared experiences, I'm here to share my Experience of Navigating life with Tubes and would love to hear yours too !
